Privacy Notice

Last Updated: August 7, 2026

1. Our Core Privacy Philosophy

At RunOnLocal, our fundamental principle is simple: What happens on your device, stays on your device. We have designed our architecture specifically to ensure that we never have access to your sensitive files, documents, or images.

2. File Processing (Zero Data Collection)

Unlike traditional online utilities, RunOnLocal utilizes WebAssembly and modern browser technologies to process your files 100% locally on your own hardware.

Once you close your browser tab or refresh the page, all file data is permanently erased from your device's temporary memory.

3. Information We Do (and Don't) Collect

Because we don't have user accounts, we do not collect personal information such as names, email addresses, or payment details.

Hosting and Server Logs: When you visit RunOnLocal to load the tool interface, standard web server logs (such as your IP address, browser type, and timestamp) may be temporarily collected to prevent DDoS attacks.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

We do not use tracking cookies or invasive third-party analytics. We may use your browser's local storage (localStorage) strictly to save your UI preferences (like dark mode or layout choices) on your own device.

5. Device Compromise & Local Security

Because RunOnLocal operates entirely within your environment, the security of your files ultimately depends on the security of your device. If your device is compromised by malware, spyware, or unauthorized physical access, we cannot protect your data. It is your responsibility to maintain a secure operating system and browser environment.

6. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time to reflect changes in our technology or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
