By accessing and using RunOnLocal ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our Service.

2. Nature of the Service

RunOnLocal provides a suite of browser-based utilities for manipulating PDF and image files. All processing occurs locally within your own web browser utilizing WebAssembly. We do not upload, host, or process your files on remote servers.

3. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. To the fullest extent permissible pursuant to applicable law, RunOnLocal disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that defects will be corrected.

4. Limitation of Liability & Device Responsibility

This is a critical section regarding the security of your local environment. Because our tools execute code entirely on your personal device (computer, phone, or tablet), you are solely responsible for the security, integrity, and maintenance of that device.

If your own device is compromised:

If your device is infected with malware, spyware, viruses, or if unauthorized parties gain access to your local environment, the responsibility is entirely yours. RunOnLocal holds absolutely no liability for data loss, data leaks, or damages resulting from a compromised user device, browser extension interference, or local hardware failure.

Resource Overload & Device Crashes:

Because all processing uses your device's memory (RAM) and CPU, attempting to process extremely large files (high MB/GB) may cause your web browser or device to freeze, crash, or become unresponsive. We take absolutely no responsibility for lost work, unsaved data, or any hardware/software issues that result from overloading your device's resources.

In no event shall RunOnLocal or its creators be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in any way connected with the use of our Service or with the delay or inability to use our Service.

5. Transmission of Confidential Information

While our file tools operate entirely locally, our support channels (such as our Contact form) transmit data over the internet. You are strictly prohibited from sending highly sensitive, personal, or confidential information (such as passwords, financial data, or private documents) through these channels. RunOnLocal assumes absolutely no liability for the interception, loss, or misuse of any personal or confidential information that you choose to transmit to us.

6. Intellectual Property & Open Source

The custom design, user interface, and proprietary platform code are the exclusive intellectual property of RunOnLocal. However, RunOnLocal proudly utilizes several open-source WebAssembly modules and libraries (under permissive licenses like MIT and Apache 2.0) to perform file processing. These underlying open-source modules remain the intellectual property of their respective original creators.

7. Lawful Use

You agree to use RunOnLocal only for lawful purposes. You must possess the legal right and authorization to upload, manipulate, or modify the documents and images you process using our Service. You agree not to use the Service to forge, falsify, or illegally tamper with official or legal documents.

8. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the Service after any changes indicates your acceptance of the modified Terms.
